Suzette Crepe Cafe on Solano Avenue in Albany delivers a quietly inviting cafe experience centered around French-style crepes and quality espresso drinks. This spot serves as a low-key weekday or weekend retreat for locals looking to enjoy a thoughtfully made meal or a well-crafted coffee in a casual, cozy setting.

The atmosphere is unhurried and comfortable, with enough quiet corners and accessible power outlets to settle in for a relaxed breakfast, lunch, or afternoon break. It's the sort of place where you might stop by after morning errands or on your way home from a nearby appointment, as many visitors appreciate its proximity to local labs and shops along the avenue.

On the menu, the savory crepes stand out for their fresh ingredients and traditional preparation — the Saint Malo crepe, filled with ham, cheese, and egg, showcases a classic fold and generous portions that make it a filling option for those hungry for a satisfying meal. For those open to customizing, vegetarian variations are clearly well-supported, demonstrating flexibility without compromising on flavor.

Dessert crepes lean toward a playful, indulgent side with options like the Very Raspberry featuring raspberries and cream cheese, or the rich Crepe Suzette with orange sauce and vanilla ice cream. Meanwhile, the espresso bar offers the expected range of well-prepared drinks, including lattes with impressively creamy foam, drawing in coffee lovers who appreciate quality without pretension.

The service adds to the welcoming vibe, marked by attentiveness without feeling rushed. Customers often find themselves enjoying a calm environment even on busy days, making it a reliable spot to unwind solo or chat quietly with friends. The crowd tends to be a mix of neighborhood residents and passersby who have heard about the consistent food and drinks, reflecting its role as a neighborhood staple rather than a tourist-focused destination.

Overall, Suzette Crepe Cafe thrives as a casual place for anyone wanting a taste of authentic French crepes paired with solid coffee options. The best time to visit tends to be late mornings or early afternoons when the pace is slower and seating is easier to come by. Its straightforward approach to presentation and comfort makes it a well-loved stop for locals seeking dependable, delicious crepes and a relaxed atmosphere.

A great find! Fresh ingredients, perfect preparation, generous portions, authentic French savory and dessert crepes. Varied salads and espresso drinks offered as well. I enjoyed the Saint Malo (savory ham, cheese, egg) which is prepared in the traditional French style with edges folded over. Delicious, classic and filling! My companion had a custom vegetarian savory crepe. Many offerings for vegetarians. Our only disappointment was not having room to share Crepe Suzette for dessert, but we will be back! The ambiance was casual, colorful and comfortable for dining in. The restaurant is in a pleasant walkable section of Dolsno with other fun places nearby for strolling. The staff (owners?) couldn’t have been more friendly. The chef even seemed not to mind my poor but well-intentioned French.

Really cute café, and conveniently located next to a bloodwork lab (was super hungry after fasting!). I got a crepe dog and a latte. The latte was beautiful and super foamy - altogether amazing. The crepe dog was a hot dog in crepe form, it was really good!

Was glad to come here on Sunday morning to find out the place was not busy and I didn’t have to wait in a long Sunday line for food. The crepes we ordered were delicious, the staff were nice and we enjoyed the calm atmosphere. Thank you so much for your kind and quick service and for the adorable morning we had at your place

Genuinely the best crepe I’ve ever had in my life. So well made, every ingredient felt proportioned correctly. Service was quick and friendly, the atmosphere is quiet and cozy, and there are outlets to charge your phone. This place is amazing.

My Suzette crepe was the best I've had outside of France. I had to have non-fasting lab work next door, so I treated myself to a crepw while waiting. My Nutella crepe was perfection...crisp at the edges, silky in the perfectly pointed center, just the right amount of filling, and gracefully embellished with a fillagree of chocolate sauce and powdered sugar. The robust, flavor-filled house coffee similarly put me right back to a French sidewalk. Bliss. Informants have since told me that their savory crepe are also outstanding. What a fortunate discovery!

I love sweets and breakfast foods, and Suzette’s is the perfect place to satisfy my cravings for them. With the wide range of options and cozy atmosphere, it’s the perfect spot to grab a bite with some friends. My favorite is probably the crepes with Nutella and fruit, but they also offer salty options, which my friends really enjoy.

The food is decent. The store is a bit small so of you want to sit indoors, you'd need to show up early. The outdoor seating is a bit uncomfortable since you share the sidewalk. Pets of pedestrians come to you while you're eating which is not fun or, convenient.
